This time last year...

We had our last few times to visit GNP

Isabelle and I were cowgirls for Halloween

Caleb was a Leprechaun Warrior Ninja

Ian was a knight (I forget how the tomahawk worked into the costume.)

Tree Climbing

You don't really need a playground when you are surrounded by good climbing trees...

Collecting Samples for Biology

The kids collected some samples of river water for a biology experiment.
They also had samples of dirt and grass.
They placed the samples in jars for one week.
After the week was over, it was time to look at the samples under the microscope.

Trip to the Library

The hospital has a small library, and we visited this week.

There's a small section of picture books in English,
and the kids enjoy checking out the same books over and over.

Isabelle loves to read,
and she's always looking for new books.
Karis is waiting patiently while Mama Irene checks out her books.

Ian's reading his book while he waits for everyone to be ready to go.

School- Week 3

Some pictures from last week...
Bible time

Our 4th student :)

Hard at work-
Ian's working on a vocabulary exercise, while Caleb completes his math assignment.

We worked ahead on our morning history reading for the week,
so we could use that time on Friday for other things.
Caleb was coloring a picture of a tiger, and he wanted to make sure he got it all the right colors.

Lingala lessons

Joyce and I have been trying to teach the kids some Lingala.
It's been a challenge for me, since I know very little Lingala.
Fortunately, I have a couple of books to help, and there are many Lingala speakers around who are willing to patiently offer their help.

The kids were using some simple vocabulary to form sentences.
Mama Chantal was there to help and to make sure the completed sentences were correct.
