More of January in MT
We had some cold snowy weather in January.
One week when Stephen was speaking at our church in Cut Bank, we wore some of our African clothes. I have on jeans and snow boots with mine!
Snowball fights are always fun!

The Library
One of the things we really enjoy while we are here in Montana is being able to make frequent trips to the library. We only have to walk one block, and we go almost every day.

Snowy January
Our poor blog has been neglected for awhile. I will blame that partly on bad internet in Impfondo, traveling in the US, and the fact that during our transition process it was sometimes hard to know how much to share.
Now we have been back in the US over 4 months, it's a new year, and we're planning our next step. Time to get back in the swing of things.

Ian celebrated his 16th birthday with one of his favorite treats- angel food cake. We were at Granny Gabbert's house. (my grandmother.)
![]() |
From Granny's house we continued northwest, all the way to Montana. We jumped back into school and worked on adjusting to the climate change.

Isabelle loves the cold and the snow. She can't get enough.

Ian is into the snow less than the other kids. When it's required, or when it's warm enough for him.

The Headstrongs Travel
While we were flying, Isabelle wrote a story about "the Headstrongs." I suspected that it was autobiographical. The fact that "we" was crossed out and replaced with "they" many places supported that idea. I'm not sure why she called her imaginary family the Headstrongs.
The Headstrongs- by Isabelle
Here’s how: We They each got to have two bags. Then we they got a taxi to the airport.
At the airport, it took forever to get to an area to sit. Then they boarded the plane.
They got drinks and ate sandwiches.
Then they landed. They went into the airport. And got our their bags.
Then we they got a taxi and went to our their hotel. We They checked in and put our their bags in our their room. Then we they went swimming.

The Hike
The Hike
by Isabelle
We went on a long hike. We drove the first part standing in a truck. Then we hiked up very far. Then we took a break. After we drank some water and ate an apple or two we started hiking down. On our way down we saw the lodge and a lake. We hiked towards the lake. (The hill was very steep.) Finally, we reached the bottom, but we weren’t there yet. We walked back to the lodge. I saw three ostriches and one horse. When we reached the lodge, I took a shower.
