Aster Falls

On Sunday we went back to Two Medicine for a hike to Aster Falls. Caleb rode most of the way in the back pack, but got down for a few minutes to walk. During the time he was walking made very little progress.
We met some friends of ours on the trail. They were also headed to the waterfall. Including our family, there were 7 adults and 6 children. I feel sorry for anyone who thought they would have a nice peaceful, quiet spot at the waterfall. We enjoyed the waterfall, talking, and letting the kids play.

Ian is very proud of his park ranger hat. While we were standing beside our car, getting Caleb and Isabelle into their backpacks, he put it on. A park ranger drove by, and Ian excitedly pointed out his hat. The guy chatted with Ian for a minute, and said that he had one just like that, just a different color. Ian was so proud!

On the Trail

There is an open meadow that we walk through. At different times of the summer, we see different flowers there.

One of Ian's favorite things to do while hiking is to scare Stephen. He will run up ahead and "hide" behind a tree, then jump out and growl. Caleb thought it was hilarious, and kept pointing to where Ian was hiding, and doing a pretty impressive growl.

Hiking to Paradise Point

Yesterday, we took a walk to Paradise Point, about .06 miles in distance. The trail is a spur from the Two Medicine South Shore Trail, and ends at the lakeshore of Two Medicine.

Underappreciated Artwork by three great but little known artists

Shhhh.....Artist at work

About one week ago the kids, I mean artists, decorated the house. Then Stephen received an email from maintenance that we needed to wash the sidewalk chalk off of the house, and not let the children draw on the house anymore. (Which is actually silly if you know anything about our maintenance dept!) So yesterday, before it came off, I had to take some pictures to document this great artwork before it was gone forever. Stephen washed most of it off, but due to a 1/4 inch gap in the back door, most of it in the pictures stayed. We didn't want the living room carpet to be flooded if we sprayed it with the hose. We still have a little bit of artwork left!

Random picuters

The first picture is all of the kids ready to go for a walk. We go for multiple walks every day. This one was just up and down the street in our neighborhood. We also walk to the post office, library, grocery store, etc.
The second picture is one of Caleb after I tried to wash ketchup out of his hair.

The end of the day

We've been spending lots of time outside. You can tell at the end of the day, Isabelle and Caleb are worn out. However, Ian always seems to have more energy!
