Irish BlessingMay the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind always be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

The kids all have St. Patrick's Day hats/crowns from Mary Jo. I told them to try to look sweet and agreeable for the picture. They have been fighting off and on all morning. Usually they get along pretty well. However, this morning Caleb woke up too early. He is grumpy and looking for a fight. With 2 sisters and one brother he doesn't have to look very far! We are going to leave for preschool soon, and my hope is that he will take a nice long nap in the car and that will improve his mood.
Today we took a break from the Revolutionary War to study St. Patrick's Day. The first one celebrated in the US was in Boston, Massachusetts in 1737, so it did tie in a little with what we have been studying. Tomorrow, it will be back to the usual for Ian.
